Dr. Thompson received his Doctor of Optometry degree with honours from the University Of Houston College Of Optometry in 1998. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta in 1994. He served as both a reserve and active duty U.S. Army Optometrist from 1995-2001 in Texas & Germany and was deployed with peacekeepers to Kosovo in 2000 in this capacity. Since 2001, Dr. Thompson has been working with Dr. Jan Lebenhagen in Calgary. Dr. Thompson has extensive experience in primary optometry and in treating ocular disease, minor trauma, and pre / post laser refractive surgery cases. His areas of special interest include dry eye / ocular surface disease, and rigid gas permeable contact lenses.
Dr. Garner is a native Albertan who graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1981. She is the most senior member of our team and has a strong background in vision therapy, eye exercises, contact lenses, & pre/post refractive surgery. She also has a strong connection to our latin community and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Garner takes pride in providing caring individual attention by going to any length to meet her patients' visual needs.
Dr. Reid was born and raised in Calgary. He attended Western Canada High School here in Calgary, and then graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Calgary. Dr. Reid received his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where he graduated with honours. He has a particular interest in specialty and complex contact lens fittings, for those patients with hard to fit eyes, or those who suffer from either certain eye diseases or post surgical issues. He also has a passion for ocular disease.
