What is an ultra-wide eye scan?

An ultra-wide scan captures over 80% of your retina in one image—compared to just 10–15% with traditional methods. It gives your optometrist a clearer, more complete view without dilation and creates a digital record to track changes over time.

How does an ultra-wide scan help?

Ultra-wide field imaging allows your doctor to see more of your retina all at once, so they can pick up on the earliest signs of disease.

Ultra-wide imaging also provides a digital track record of your retina to your eye doctor. When combined with regular eye exams, it equips your doctor with more information and time so they can review the images and discuss any eye or health changes with you.

Why is the retina so important?

Your retina doesn’t just help with vision; it’s the only part of your body where blood vessels can be seen directly. This means that in addition to eye conditions, other diseases can be detected by examining more of the retina, such as stroke, heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.

Why are comprehensive
eye exams so important?

Vision isn’t just about seeing clearly. Many eye and health conditions go undetected because they don’t immediately impact vision or cause discomfort.

Our advanced technology, including ultra-wide scans, reveals potential problems early—allowing you and your doctor to act faster with more effective treatment plans.
