Dr. Bauer has been practicing in Chilliwack since 1983 after graduating from the University of Waterloo in 1982. He works at our Chilliwack and Sardis locations. Professional memberships include the Canadian Association of Optometrists, British Columbia Association of Optometrists and the Rotary Club of Chilliwack.
Dr. Abigail Asirvatham completed a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physiology at the University of British Columbia in 2006. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo, graduating in 2010 with Honours. During her university years she had the opportunity to conduct a number of research projects and also developed an interest in teaching.
Her internship experience was completed at Scarborough Eye Associates under the supervision of a retinal surgeon. She gained valuable experience with ocular disease and had the opportunity to observe many retinal surgeries. During a summer vacation as an optometry student she also had the opportunity to intern at a laser refractive surgery clinic.
Outside of the office Dr. Asirvatham enjoys reading, skating, outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Cullen has been practicing in Chilliwack since graduating from the University of California at Berkley in 1994. Originally from Manitoba, he and his wife Nicole, now make Chilliwack their home. Dr. Cullen works in the Hope office Tuesdays, Chilliwack on Mondays and Thursdays and Sardis on Wednesdays.

Dr. Ryan Schmidt completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Alberta in 2010. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo, graduating with Honours in 2015. As part of his education he completed an externship at OMNI Eye Services in Atlanta, Georgia gaining valuable experience in Ocular Disease. Dr. Schmidt is currently a member of the British Columbia Doctors of Optometry and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Schmidt (originally from Alberta) and his wife Stephanie (originally from Seattle) now make Chilliwack home and are enjoying the outdoor activities that the region provides. In his spare time Dr. Schmidt enjoys playing hockey, hiking, kayaking, running, and watching sports.
