Contactless Curbside Pickup
We are taking many precautionary measures to prevent the transfer of COVID-19 to you and your loved ones.
As healthcare providers, we take the global concern about COVID-19 very seriously. We are doing whatever it takes to ensure that both your eye and overall health needs are attended to at this time. Social distancing should not compromise your ability to see clearly.
We are happy to now offer contactless curbside pickup at most of our locations. All you need to do is call the clinic upon arrival, and your product will be delivered to you outside in a tray or basket. All glasses and contact lenses are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by a member of our team before being delivered, including frames, lenses, cases and boxes.
If you receive your glasses and they do not fit properly, please contact us by phone or email and we will do everything we can to address your concern. We will assess on a case-by-case basis whether it is safe to drop them off at the clinic, or if we will need to schedule an appointment once regular operations resume.
It is of utmost importance that you feel supported by FYidoctors throughout these unprecedented times. If you have any inquiries regarding your eye health, including prescription or eyewear needs, please know that we are here to answer them anytime by phone or email.

Meet Our Optometrists
Garth Hannah
Garth Hannah
Dr. Garth Hannah grew up in the beautiful valley town of Lumsden, Saskatchewan and attended both elementary and high school there. He attended the University of Waterloo and in 1977 graduated from its School of Optometry.
Upon graduating from optometry, Dr. Hannah joined the, then, practice of Dr. Hugh MacKenzie and Dr. Jack Huber and has seen many changes and advances incorporated into the practice since that time. For example, optometric services have been expanded to itinerant practices in Balcarres and Indian Head on Tuesdays and Thursdays, respectively, and a second Regina office was opened on Rochdale Boulevard in the Northwest part of the city in July 2002. Like all InSight Vision Care practitioners, his practice includes eye examinations for all ages, including children, contact lenses of all types and care of laser refractive patients.
Dr. Hannah’s interests outside of the practice include sailing, skiing, scuba diving, and travel. He and his wife, Leanne, particularly enjoy sailing their keel boat on Lake Diefenbaker.
Along with the rest if the InSight Vision Care team, Dr. Hannah feels it is a privilege to be able to contribute to the visual welfare of Saskatchewan residents.
Bill (William) Thatcher
Bill (William) Thatcher
Dr. Bill Thatcher was born and raised in Regina. He graduated from the University of Waterloo's School of Optometry in 1984 and immediately joined the practice of Drs. MacKenzie, Huber, and Hannah.
Dr. Thatcher is married and has four sons. He enjoys participating in his children's activities, golf, skiing, and spending time at the family cottage. Dr. Thatcher coaches in the Regina Minor Football League and in the Regina Community Basketball Association and remains an avid Riders fan. Currently Dr. Thatcher serves as a board member for the Horizon Laser Vision clinics in Regina and Saskatoon. He also serves as a board member at the Katepwa Beach Golf Club.
Besides his professional interests in refractive surgery and contact lenses, Dr. Thatcher enjoys solving computer related vision problems and providing all aspects of family eye and vision care at InSight Vision Care's locations – Regina Downtown, Regina Rochdale, Balcarres, and Indian Head.
Brenna Caldwell
Brenna Caldwell
Born and raised in Regina, Dr. Brenna Caldwell is excited to return home to join to the team at FYidoctors Regina Downtown and Rochdale. She is a graduate of Campbell Collegiate and an alumna of the Regina Optimist Dolphin Swim Club. Before graduating from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2018, Dr. Caldwell earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Waterloo.
As a clinical intern, Dr. Caldwell enjoyed participating in all aspects of patient care with special interests in children’s eye exams and contact lenses. She completed internships in Edmonton, as well as right here at FYidoctors Regina Downtown and Rochdale. In addition, she completed a rotation emphasizing the treatment and management of ocular disease at the Lexington Kentucky Veteran Affairs Medical Centre.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Caldwell can be found running around Wascana Lake training for her next half marathon or back on the pool deck officiating local swim meets. She enjoys traveling and hopes to combine her love for seeing the world and providing eye care to those in need for many years to come.
Linh La
Linh La
Born and raised in Regina, Dr. Linh La attended the University of Waterloo, first earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a French minor before continuing on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2016. She graduated on the Dean's Honours List and was the recipient of the Dr. John G. Flanagan Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence in Glaucoma, the Good-Lite Pediatric Optometry Award and the Dr. Irving Baker Excellence in Clinical Optometry Scholarship.
While her time in Waterloo exposed Dr. La to all facets of optometry, interprofessional collaboration and ocular pathology were the emphases of her externships at the Health Sciences Optometry Clinic in Kitchener, ON and the Jack C. Montgomery VA Hospital in Muskogee, OK. Working closely with family physicians, ophthalmologists and a variety of other specialists, Linh gained deeper understanding of the relationships between eye disease and systemic health conditions. She also spent time as a clinical extern right here at FYidoctors and is excited to join Drs Hannah, Thatcher, Kimery, Robertson, Bakouris, Bakouris, and Beattie in full scope optometric practice. Dr. La welcomes patients of all ages, with special interests in pediatric optometry, contact lenses and ocular disease.
Outside the practice, Linh is an avid baker, traveler and a certified yoga instructor. You will also find her playing ringette and crisscrossing the country as a member of the Korra women's competitive ultimate frisbee team.
