Dr. Jim Ross graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1978 with his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Ross added his academic therapeutic pharmaceutical designation in 1993 at Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Oklahoma.
Dr. Ross enjoys the multiple aspects of an optometric practice and the satisfaction of his profession is visible in the many optometric services he provides. This includes the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease.
Dr. Ross also provides diagnostic and treatment services for refractive problems. Treatment services include the fitting and design of contact lenses,*refractive surgery consultation and follow up, the fitting and design of eyewear including progressive multifocals.
A designer and provider of sports vision eyewear and contact lenses for the protection and the enhancement of visual performance is an aspect within his practice, providing elite athlete sports vision assessments and sports vision training programs.
There is also an emphasis on being a provider of diagnostic and vision therapy treatment services for visual efficiency (eye tracking) deficits, visual information processing deficits and eye alignment problems as well as amblyopia.
Dr. Ross is a past Registrar of the Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists and a past Chairman of the Board of Examiners as well a past board member of the Canadian Examiners in Optometry.
Dr. Ross has served for many years on the governing council of the Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists as well as many clinical committees and is a past President of the Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists.
An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Ross enjoys many athletic activities including his favorites golf and squash, when time permits.

Dr. Russ Schultz has moved to practice Optometry in Calgary after 19 years in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Dr. Schultz graduated from Indiana University in 1992 and has extensive training and experience in diagnosis and management of ocular disease. Dr. Schultz is past-president of the Saskatchewan Association of Optometrists and has served on many provincial and national Optometric committees and Boards.
Dr. Schultz enjoys family practice and takes a special interest in treatment of ocular disease and contact lenses.
Dr. Robert McLaughlin is an experienced optometrist, trained and brought up in the UK. Dr. McLaughlin has extensive experience developed in both practice and hospital settings. Until moving to Canada in 2011, he was Principal Optometrist at a UK hospital, working alongside the Ophthalmologist team in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease.
Dr. McLaughlin is passionate about his work and the needs of his patients, taking time to understand and respond to their eye care needs.Dr. McLaughlin also holds a PhD from Cambridge University and a physics degree.
Dr. Bunny Virk Completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Calgary. Dr. Virk took a 18 month hiatus to further his studies at Foothills hospital in the Department of Physiology. He enrolled in Optometry School at Pacific University Oregon where he graduated in 2009. During his tenure, Dr. Virk was able to practice at the VA's in Salem, Oregon and Honolulu, Hawaii.
In 2009, he joined the practice at McKenzie Towne, Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Virk continues to work with students in a clinical setting, helping educate through the University of Waterloo Residency Training Program. Along with McKenzie Towne, currently practices at the Canmore and Banff offices. Extracurricular activities include travelling with family, movies and satisfying a sweet tooth with chocolate.
