Contactless Curbside Pickup
We are taking many precautionary measures to prevent the transfer of COVID-19 to you and your loved ones.
As healthcare providers, we take the global concern about COVID-19 very seriously. We are doing whatever it takes to ensure that both your eye and overall health needs are attended to at this time. Social distancing should not compromise your ability to see clearly.
We are happy to now offer contactless curbside pickup at most of our locations. All you need to do is call the clinic upon arrival, and your product will be delivered to you outside in a tray or basket. All glasses and contact lenses are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by a member of our team before being delivered, including frames, lenses, cases and boxes.
If you receive your glasses and they do not fit properly, please contact us by phone or email and we will do everything we can to address your concern. We will assess on a case-by-case basis whether it is safe to drop them off at the clinic, or if we will need to schedule an appointment once regular operations resume.
It is of utmost importance that you feel supported by FYidoctors throughout these unprecedented times. If you have any inquiries regarding your eye health, including prescription or eyewear needs, please know that we are here to answer them anytime by phone or email.

This FYidoctors location is pleased to be able to provide you with comprehensive eye care in a safe clinic environment once again. As doctors, the health of you and your family is our top priority, which is why we have implemented a new examination process with enhanced safety procedures. Our staff has been extensively trained on how to clean all equipment and touch points throughout the clinic. Our doctors and staff are dedicated to providing superior eye care. We have years of experience in children's vision, senior's vision and all ages in between. We are highly skilled in the detection of eye disease and monitor the latest technologies and advancements in vision care. We offer a complete range of eye care services and have a well-established network of specialists for the co-management of cataract surgery, laser eye surgery and the treatment of eye disease.
We’re conveniently located one block north of Oxford St. on Wharncliffe. We have evening and Saturday hours. New patients are welcome!
Meet Our Optometrists
Emily Finlayson
Emily Finlayson
Dr. Emily Finlayson earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Windsor. She then graduated on the Dean’s Honour List with a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 2020. During her time there she was also president of the University of Waterloo Association for Guide Dogs (UWADG), where she raised funds to sponsor guide dogs for those in need.
Dr. Finlayson developed an interest in optometry at an early age, observing her father research artificial vision to treat those with diseases like retinitis pigmentosa and AMD. She’s fascinated by advancements in eye care technology and how it can promote the healthy vision of her patients. She’s also particularly interested in dry eye disease.
When Dr. Finlayson isn’t practicing, she enjoys going to the gym, hiking, birdwatching, watercolour painting and spending time with her family and (very) fluffy pet cat. She also volunteers at Windsor’s JDRF walk every year to help support type-1 diabetes research.
Thomas Psutka
Thomas Psutka
Dr. Psutka has been living in London, Ontario and practicing optometry for 39 years. He graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 1980 and is certified in the treatment and management of ocular diseases from North Eastern University in Oklahoma.
Throughout his career, Dr. Psutka has focused on providing the highest quality care to every patient with compassion, technical skill, knowledge and patient education and practices an interdisciplinary model that co-manages wide scope patient care with physicians, specialists and other related health personnel in London and the surrounding area. Dr. Psutka’s areas of expertise include pediatric vision, contact lenses, Dry Eye Disease, patients with special needs and vision issues associated with aging.
In his spare time, Dr. Psutka is an avid runner and participates in a number of community races including The Run for Retina, which supports research into eye disease at the Ivey Eye Institute in London, Ontario. He also enjoys cooking and is a diehard fan of the Western Mustang Football team.
Murray McLeod
Murray McLeod
Dr. Murray McLeod graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1986 and joined the practice of Drs. Forristal and Psutka in 1987. Dr. McLeod completed the Ocular Therapeutics course at Northeastern State University of Oklahoma in 2009 and in 2011 he founded Sunningdale Optometry where he still practices at both locations. Dr. McLeod practices full scope optometry with special interest in ocular disease management and contact lens fitting. When not working, Dr. McLeod enjoys skiing, travel, and golf. He is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Association of Optometry and the Ontario College of Optometrists.
Michael Fenn
Michael Fenn
Dr. Fenn graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1997 with degrees in Doctor of Optometry and Honours Bachelor of Science. That same year he joined the practice of Forristal, Psutka and McLeod. As part of his training he was an intern at Houston Eye Associates in Houston, Texas with a concentration in ocular disease. He has a special interest in orthokeratology and myopia control.
He has been an assessor with the Canadian Standard Assessment in Optometry and is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control. In 2008 and 2010 he volunteered providing free optometric care to many medically under serviced people in rural Bolivia as a member of Remote Area Medical Volunteers Canada team.
Originally from northern Ontario, Dr. Fenn enjoys many outdoor activities that include fishing, hiking, adventure racing and mountain biking. He enjoys spending time with his family, home projects, playing guitar, listening to heavy metal and is an avid reader of history. He is also a long suffering Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
Dr. Fenn has always strived to provide exemplary care to all his patients in a warm and compassionate manner and looks forward to providing all of your eye care needs.
