Warren Samuel BSc, O.D. has been with Kipling Family Eyecare since 1995. Dr. Samuel graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1994 and worked as an associate in Scarborough for one year before opening his Etobicoke practice in 1995. He is a general practitioner, but his interests extend to pediatric care, contact lens fitting, co-management of LASIK eye surgery, and ocular diseases. He is trained to co-manage PRK and LASIK, and is an Affiliate of TLC laser center. He had LASIK performed on himself in 1999, and he has a license to prescribe Therapeutic Pharmacological Agents for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases.
Dr. Samuel cares deeply about his geriatric patients. He was the resident optometrist at Versa Care Nursing in Etobicoke from 1997 – 2017 and Extended Care Nursing Home from 2001 -2016. He focuses not only on primary vision care, but also on treating eye infections, eye emergencies, and co-managing diabetes and glaucoma. He strives to provide a high level of patient care and excellent customer service.
One of his major priorities is to utilize advanced technology to provide a high level of patient care and excellent customer service, and he believes in the importance of educating his patients on eye care and strives to make sure all of their questions are answered. In his free time, Dr. Samuel enjoys playing golf, cycling, fishing, and being outdoors. He is married and has two active boys.
Dr. Angel Chen
Dr. Angel Chen
Angel Chen, BSc, O.D. has been with Kipling Family Eyecare since 2011. Born and raised in the United States, Dr. Chen received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2009 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. During her clinical internships at Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska and Dorfzaun Eye Group in Atlanta, Georgia, she gained valuable experience in ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, as well as primary care. Dr. Chen has participated in mission trips to provide optometric care to underprivileged people in the Smoky Mountains area of Tennessee, and to the Yupik people in remote villages of Alaska.
Dr. Chen has been providing comprehensive eye examinations to patients of all ages and promoting vision and eye health in Canada since 2010. She believes regular eye examinations are an important part of maintaining your health and vision. Dr. Chen is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, as well as hiking, and indoor rock-climbing.
Dr. Imreet Toor
Dr. Imreet Toor
Dr. Imreet Toor is thrilled to join Kipling Family Eyecare! She aims to provide quality eye care through her enthusiasm and dedication to helping others.
Dr. Toor graduated from the University of British Columbia – Vancouver with a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts where she graduated with distinction. She completed her clinical rotations in Boston and New Hampshire at 3 different community healthcare centers and worked at Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital where she received a lot of training on treating different ocular diseases and providing eye care services for all ages. In addition, Dr. Toor received extensive training on fitting specialized contact lenses at two private practices (EyeWorks and Dr. S. P. Byrnes) in New Hampshire.
She has special interest and extensive experience in fitting specialty contact lenses, LASIK co-management, treatment and management of ocular diseases for all ages, as well as acquiring and analyzing diagnostic imaging.
In addition to English Dr. Toor speaks Punjabi fluently and understands Spanish. In her spare time, Dr. Toor enjoys spending time outdoors, with family, travelling and reading.
